At Amsterdam Clinics we help you achieve a greater level of physical functioning and live a life with less pain, whether you have a musculoskeletal injury or are recovering from an orthopedic surgery. A musculoskeletal injury or condition can affect your life in many ways. Bone, joint or muscle pain could lead to short or long-term problems and may result in missed days at work and the inability to enjoy the activities that enrich your life.
We treat patients suffering from a wide range of musculoskeletal/orthopedic conditions:
- Elbow/wrist/hand pain and injuries
- Shoulder pain and injuries
- Hip/knee pain and injuries
- Ankle/foot pain and injuries
- Back pain and injuries
- Total joint replacements and orthopedic surgery
The physiotherapy subjective assessment will involve a thorough history taking of your problem and the objective assessment will look at your movement to see how your joints and muscles are working together. It is important for our physiotherapists to also find out how the problem and existing symptoms are affecting your life so that goals can be devised and achieved.
Your physiotherapist will put a treatment plan in place and discuss treatment with you, in addition to giving you advice and educating you about your musculoskeletal disorder. Treatment aims to speed up the healing process, decrease pain, increase strength and restore range of movement.
