Osteoporosis

Osteoporosis is a disorder in which bones become increasingly porous and brittle, making them more prone to fracture. It occurs with aging to both sexes, but most often to women, especially during the post menopause stage. To limit your risk of injury, our physiotherapists give you weight-bearing exercises; resistance and flexibility training; and fall prevention training.
Physical rehabilitation can help minimize the overall effects of osteoporosis, reduce the risk of falls, and improve neuromuscular and musculoskeletal coordination.
